Kanan Jarrus, born Caleb Dume, was a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66. He first appeared in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. He abandoned his Jedi identity and went into hiding, adopting the name Kanan Jarrus to avoid detection by the Empire.

During his time in hiding, Kanan became a skilled pilot and smuggler. He eventually joined the crew of the Ghost, a rebel cell operating in the Lothal sector. He acted as a mentor to Ezra Bridger, a young Force-sensitive boy, training him in the ways of the Jedi.

Over the course of Rebels, Kanan confronted his past, embraced his identity as a Jedi, and fought against the Empire. He eventually sacrificed himself to save his friends and allies, ensuring their survival and helping to further the cause of the Rebellion.
