Starfire, whose birth name is Koriand'r, is a prominent character in the DC Comics universe, best known for her association with the Teen Titans. She hails from the planet Tamaran, a world renowned for its advanced technology and rich culture. Her early life was marred by political intrigue as she was thrust into an arranged marriage as part of a peace treaty.

A betrayal from her sister Blackfire, however, led to Koriand'r's enslavement by the Psions, who subjected her to torturous experiments. These experiments inadvertently granted her the ability to absorb and convert ultraviolet radiation into energy, granting her flight and powerful starbolts.

Escaping her captors, she crash-landed on Earth, where she encountered the Teen Titans. Becoming a founding member of the group, she adopted the name Starfire and dedicated herself to protecting her new home. Starfire's powers include superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to project energy blasts.

Known for her vibrant personality and occasional naiveté, Starfire quickly formed strong bonds with her teammates, particularly with Robin (Dick Grayson). She is often depicted as a powerful and compassionate hero, striving to understand Earth's customs while battling intergalactic threats.
