Spartan, a fictional character created by author James Frey and Nils Johnson-Shelton, is one of the main protagonists in the young adult novel series, Endgame: The Calling and Endgame: Sky Key. He is a descendant of the ancient Spartans, one of twelve Player lines chosen centuries ago to compete in a deadly global competition.
Raised in Greece under rigorous physical and mental training, Spartan embodies the ideals of strength, discipline, and strategic thinking. His life revolves around preparing for Endgame, honing his combat skills and mastering the knowledge passed down through generations of his lineage.
As a Player, Spartan is tasked with finding three keys hidden across the globe. Each key unlocks a different aspect of a cataclysmic event, with the potential to either save or destroy the world. His loyalty to his line and his commitment to winning are constantly tested as he navigates alliances, betrayals, and moral dilemmas within the Endgame competition.
