The White Ranger is a powerful form assumed by Tommy Oliver in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. His first appearance as the White Ranger was in the second season of the TV Show.

Prior to becoming the White Ranger, Tommy was the Green Ranger. After losing his Green Ranger powers, Tommy's history and combat skills led Zordon to select him as the new White Ranger and leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The White Ranger's powers and Zord are derived from the Falcon, a counterpart to the Dragon power coin of the Green Ranger. The suit design and powers of the White Ranger originate from the character Kibaranger from the Super Sentai series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.
