Zombie Velma is a reimagining of the classic Scooby-Doo character Velma Dinkley, appearing in the direct-to-video animated film Zombie Island (1998) and subsequent sequels such as Return to Zombie Island (2019) and Zombie King (2022).
This version of Velma retains her core traits of intelligence, skepticism, and her role as the brains of Mystery Incorporated. However, the zombie stories present a darker and more realistic interpretation of the supernatural, challenging her previously established debunking persona. The stories require her to confront genuine paranormal threats, specifically zombies.
