Scooby-Doo

Velma Dinkley is a fictional character from the long-running Hanna-Barbera animated cartoon series, Scooby-Doo. A member of the Mystery Incorporated gang, she is known for her high intelligence, scientific aptitude, and skepticism towards the supernatural until proven otherwise.

Velma typically wears a thick orange turtleneck sweater, a short pleated skirt (usually red or maroon), knee-high socks, Mary Jane shoes, and square glasses, which she often loses. Losing her glasses is a recurring gag, often accompanied by her iconic catchphrase, "My glasses! I can't see without my glasses!".

Velma serves as the group's main strategist and problem-solver, analyzing clues and piecing together the mysteries that the gang encounters. She is often the one to unmask the villain and reveal their motives.

Her first appearance was in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! which premiered on CBS in 1969. Since then, Velma has become a beloved and recognizable figure in popular culture, appearing in numerous iterations of the Scooby-Doo franchise.
