Black Bolt, also known as Blackagar Boltagon, is a member of the Inhumans and appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the film *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness* (2022). He is known as one of the members of the Illuminati.
As king of the Inhumans, he possesses a quasi-sonic power of such great magnitude that it can level mountains with a whisper. He is the husband of Medusa and brother of Maximus the Mad.
In the MCU, Black Bolt is portrayed as a stoic and powerful figure. Due to his volatile voice, Black Bolt typically communicates non-verbally to avoid accidental destruction of his surroundings.
During a confrontation with the Scarlet Witch, Black Bolt attempts to use his sonic scream against her. However, Scarlet Witch uses her chaos magic to neutralize his power and cause his own scream to implode his head, killing him.
