Cobb Vanth is a character in the Star Wars universe, first appearing in Chuck Wendig's Aftermath book trilogy. He is further popularized by his appearance in the Disney+ series, The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
Vanth is a self-appointed lawman of the Tatooine settlement of Mos Pelgo, later renamed Freetown. He acquires a suit of Mandalorian armor, originally belonging to Boba Fett, from Jawas following the fall of the Galactic Empire. He uses the armor to protect Freetown from raiders and maintain order.
Initially, Vanth is portrayed as a pragmatist, willing to trade with the Mandalorian Din Djarin for the armor in exchange for Djarin's help in defeating a Krayt Dragon. Later, he assists Djarin in recruiting allies against the Pyke Syndicate, demonstrating his dedication to protecting the people of Tatooine. His fate following a confrontation with Cad Bane is left ambiguous at the end of The Book of Boba Fett.
