Cobb Vanth is a character in the Star Wars universe, first appearing in the Aftermath book series before making his live-action debut in The Mandalorian.
He is a former slave who became the self-appointed lawman of Mos Pelgo, a small town on Tatooine. Vanth acquired and wore Boba Fett's Mandalorian armor, using it to protect the town from bandits and other dangers, leading the townsfolk to believe he was a Mandalorian.
Din Djarin encounters Vanth in The Mandalorian, where they form an alliance to defeat a krayt dragon threatening Mos Pelgo. Vanth trades the Mandalorian armor to Djarin in exchange for Djarin's help in ridding the town of the beast.
In The Book of Boba Fett, Vanth continues to serve as marshal. He attempts to maintain peace in the region amidst rising tensions with the Pyke Syndicate, which ultimately leads to a confrontation where he is seriously wounded. His fate remains uncertain.
