Biography:
Anti-Venom is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with Spider-Man. The Anti-Venom symbiote originated from remnants of the Venom symbiote bonding with Eddie Brock's white blood cells.
Brock, previously Venom, was cured of cancer by Martin Li (Mister Negative), inadvertently altering his white blood cells. When the Venom symbiote attempted to re-bond with Brock, these altered cells rejected it, resulting in the birth of a new, different symbiote – Anti-Venom.
Anti-Venom possesses powers similar to Venom, such as enhanced strength and agility, but also has unique abilities. Most notably, he can "cure" people of various ailments and remove drugs or other foreign substances from their systems, even Spider-Man's radiation poisoning. However, his touch can also be harmful to symbiotes and people with symbiote traces in their bodies.
Anti-Venom first appeared in *The Amazing Spider-Man* #569 (October 2008).
