Jiraiya, also known as the Toad Sage, is a prominent character from the popular anime and manga series Naruto Shippuden. He first appears in episode 52 of the original Naruto anime series.
He is one of the Legendary Sannin, along with Tsunade and Orochimaru, all trained by the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Jiraiya is known for his exceptional skill as a ninja and his perverted nature, often engaging in research for his "Icha Icha" series of adult novels.
Beyond his eccentricities, Jiraiya served as Naruto Uzumaki's mentor, teaching him the Rasengan and playing a pivotal role in Naruto's development as a powerful ninja. He deeply cared for Naruto and considered him a grandson figure.
