Biography:

Quirinus Quirrell, often referred to as Professor Quirrell, is a character in the Harry Potter series. He makes his first appearance in the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Quirrell is initially presented as the nervous and stuttering Defence Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He wears a turban, claiming it is to protect him after an encounter with a vampire.

He is later revealed to be serving Lord Voldemort, with Voldemort's face concealed on the back of Quirrell's head. This arrangement allows Voldemort to survive in a weakened state while Quirrell seeks to steal the Sorcerer's Stone, enabling Voldemort's full return to power.
