The Lollipop Guild is a group of three Munchkin characters appearing in the classic 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. They are among the first Munchkins Dorothy Gale encounters upon arriving in Munchkinland.
The Guild's purpose is to welcome Dorothy and present her with a lollipop as a gesture of gratitude for her role in the demise of the Wicked Witch of the East. The actors portraying the Lollipop Guild were Jerry Maren, Billy Curtis, and Harry Earles.
Their brief, but memorable, song and dance routine establishes the joyful and whimsical nature of Munchkinland and marks Dorothy's transition into the magical world of Oz.
