Finn, portrayed by John Boyega, is a key character in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015).
Originally designated FN-2187, Finn was a stormtrooper in the First Order who defected after witnessing the brutality of their methods. He abandoned his post during a mission and sought refuge with the Resistance.
Throughout the trilogy, Finn struggles with his identity and past, grappling with his former role and finding his place within the Resistance. He becomes a valued member, fighting alongside Rey, Poe Dameron, and others against the First Order and, eventually, the Sith Eternal in Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
