Mirage, also known as Dani Moonstar, is a mutant character appearing in Marvel Comics. She is a Native American with Cheyenne heritage.
Her mutant power grants her the ability to manifest her own fears, and later the fears or desires of others, as illusions. She can also form a telepathic link with animals, including speaking with them and understanding their emotions.
Dani was one of the original members of the New Mutants, a team of teenage mutants trained by Professor Charles Xavier. She often served as a leader for the team.
Beyond her mutant abilities, Mirage is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and horsewoman. She has also been a Valkyrie, gaining additional powers and responsibilities associated with that role.
