Mirage, also known as Dani Moonstar, is a Marvel Comics character who first appeared in Marvel Graphic Novel #4: The New Mutants (1982).
A Cheyenne Native American, Dani possesses the mutant power to create illusions based on the fears or desires of others. She can telepathically draw images from a person’s mind and manifest them as tangible, three-dimensional constructs.
Dani was a founding member of the New Mutants, a team of teenage mutants trained by Professor X. Over the years, she has also been associated with the X-Men, the Valkyries, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Her powers and allegiances have evolved throughout her history in the comics.
