Mirage, also known as Dani Moonstar, is a Cheyenne mutant from Marvel Comics. She first appeared in Marvel Graphic Novel #4: The New Mutants (1982).
She possesses the mutant ability to manifest people's fears or desires as illusions. These illusions can be incredibly realistic and affect the target on both a psychological and physical level. She initially could only manifest fears.
Mirage was a key member of the New Mutants, a team of young mutants trained by Professor X. She has also been associated with other X-Men affiliated teams. Her powers have evolved over time, including a brief period when she possessed Valkyrie powers granted by Hela.
