Norman Osborn, the Iron Patriot, is a character from Marvel Comics who first appeared as Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 (1964). In the Modern Age, Osborn gained possession of a suit of armor that combined elements of Iron Man's technology and Captain America's patriotic iconography.
Operating under the guise of a national hero, Osborn formed the Dark Avengers, a team of villains posing as the original Avengers. As Iron Patriot, he presented himself as a symbol of hope and security, all while secretly pursuing his own nefarious agenda. The Iron Patriot armor, sometimes referred to as the Tyrant Armor, allowed Osborn to wield considerable power and project an image of authority, despite his history as the villainous Green Goblin.
