Charles Lee Ray, more famously known as Chucky, is a fictional character from the Horror franchise Child's Play. He first appeared in the 1988 film of the same name, Child's Play.
Chucky is a serial killer who, using a voodoo ritual, transfers his soul into a "Good Guy" doll to escape capture. He then seeks to transfer his soul into a human body, primarily targeting the young Andy Barclay.
Over the course of the Child's Play franchise, Chucky's appearance evolves, becoming increasingly scarred and grotesque due to the damage he sustains. He is characterized by his sadistic sense of humor, foul language, and relentless pursuit of his goals.
