Biography:

Mazinger Z is a fictional character first appearing in the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1972.

The character is a giant super robot piloted by Koji Kabuto. Koji uses the robot to fight against the Mechanical Beasts created by Dr. Hell, a mad scientist aiming for world domination.

Mazinger Z is unique in that it's controlled from within by a human pilot. The robot's creation was due to the research of Koji's grandfather, Professor Juzo Kabuto, who discovered a powerful new metal called Super-Alloy Z.
