Biography:
Robert Baratheon is a character from the HBO television series Game of Thrones, first appearing in the series premiere, "Winter Is Coming" (2011).
Formerly Lord of Storm's End, Robert led a rebellion against the Targaryen dynasty, ultimately overthrowing King Aerys II Targaryen and claiming the Iron Throne for himself.
He ruled as King Robert I Baratheon, though his reign was marked by lavish feasts, tournaments, and general disinterest in the day-to-day affairs of governing. His marriage to Cersei Lannister was politically motivated and loveless.
Robert's reign is disrupted by plots and intrigue. He dies after being gored by a boar on a hunting trip, an event that throws the Seven Kingdoms into turmoil and sets the stage for the "War of the Five Kings."
