Biography:
Uchiha Itachi is a complex and tragic figure in the manga and anime series *Naruto*. He first appears in *Naruto* Chapter 139/Episode 80 as an antagonist.
Hailing from the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure, Itachi was a prodigy, graduating from the Academy at a young age. He became an Anbu operative and was highly skilled.
However, his life took a dark turn when he was forced to massacre his entire clan to prevent a coup d'état, sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke. This event branded him as a traitor and villain in Sasuke's eyes.
After the massacre, Itachi joined the Akatsuki, a criminal organization, as a double agent. His motivations were to protect Konoha and keep an eye on Akatsuki's movements.
Eventually, Itachi engages Sasuke in a battle where he intentionally loses, seemingly solidifying his villainous image. However, after his death, Sasuke learns the truth about Itachi's sacrifices and the burden he carried, revealing Itachi as a hero who acted for the greater good.
