Lion-O is the protagonist of the animated television series *ThunderCats* (1985) and its various reboots and adaptations.
He is the young Lord of the ThunderCats, a race of humanoid cat-like aliens from the planet Thundera. Forced to flee their dying world, Lion-O and his companions escape in a spacecraft that ages him physically but not mentally.
As a result, Lion-O arrives on Third Earth with the body of an adult but the mind of a child, placing him in a unique and challenging leadership role.
