Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, is a former U.S. Air Force pilot who gained extraordinary abilities after exposure to the Tesseract's energy during an incident with the Light-Speed Engine. Kidnapped by the Kree and brainwashed, she served as a soldier named Vers for six years, until memories of her past resurfaced during a mission to Earth in 1995.

Realizing the Kree had manipulated her, Carol sided with Earth and the Skrulls, using her photon-based powers of flight, super strength, and energy projection to fight against the Kree Empire. She later played a crucial role in the Avengers' victory over Thanos, arriving just in time to help turn the tide of the battle.

Her neon suit, a vibrant, multi-colored variation of her classic red and blue costume, reflects her energy-based powers and cosmic origins, as well as emphasizing her evolution beyond the more muted Kree uniform she initially wore. She continues to serve as a powerful protector of the galaxy.
