Carol Danvers, known as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a former U.S. Air Force pilot who gained superhuman abilities after being exposed to the Tesseract-powered Light-Speed Engine.
Initially believing she was a Kree warrior named Vers, serving in Starforce, she later discovered her true identity and the Kree's manipulation. Embracing her powers and her human heritage, she became Captain Marvel, a protector of the galaxy.
