Ronin is an alias adopted by Clint Barton (Hawkeye) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after the Blip, the event where Thanos wiped out half of all life.

Fueled by grief and anger over the loss of his family, Clint abandoned his Hawkeye persona and became the vigilante Ronin. As Ronin, he targeted and brutally eliminated criminal organizations around the world.

The Ronin persona first appeared in *Avengers: Endgame* (2019), where Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) tracks him down in Tokyo and helps him begin the process of healing and returning to the Avengers.
