Carol Danvers, designated X0240 during her time with the Kree, is Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born on Earth, her life was drastically altered after an accident involving a light-speed engine powered by the Tesseract.

This accident infused her with cosmic energy, granting her superhuman strength, flight, energy projection, and enhanced durability. Initially amnesiac, she served as a member of Starforce, a Kree military unit, believing herself to be Kree herself and fighting against the Skrulls. Over time, Carol discovered her true origins and rebelled against the Kree.

Danvers dedicated years to protecting vulnerable populations across the galaxy from Kree oppression. She returned to Earth to aid the Avengers against Thanos, proving to be a powerful asset in their victory. Captain Marvel continues to act as a galactic protector, intervening where needed to safeguard the universe.
