Kao Cen Darach was a male Zabrak Jedi Master who lived during the Great Galactic War, approximately 3,681 years before the Battle of Yavin. Renowned for his prowess with a double-bladed lightsaber, he served as the Jedi Watchman of the Korriban system.
Darach was responsible for guarding the ancient Sith homeworld of Korriban, a vital strategic point in the ongoing conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. He dedicated himself to studying Sith lore, hoping to understand their dark side abilities and anticipate their strategies.
Tragically, Darach fell victim to treachery. His former Padawan, Ulic Qel-Droma, was seduced by the Sith and revealed the Republic's defenses. Kao Cen Darach valiantly defended the Republic forces against a surprise Sith attack on the space station above Korriban.
In a desperate attempt to buy time for others to escape, Kao Cen Darach engaged Darth Malgus and his forces in a fierce duel. Though skilled and powerful, he was ultimately overwhelmed and killed by Malgus. His sacrifice allowed Republic forces to evacuate and prevented the Sith from achieving a complete victory at Korriban, solidifying his place as a Jedi hero.
