Biography:

Dobby is a house-elf in the Harry Potter series. He first appears in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, attempting to warn Harry about the dangers of returning to Hogwarts.

Dobby served the Malfoy family, who treated him cruelly. He longed to be free and was ultimately freed by Harry Potter at the end of the second book/movie.

After gaining his freedom, Dobby sought employment and eventually worked at Hogwarts, where he was paid a small wage and allowed to take time off. He became a loyal friend to Harry, even at great personal risk.
