Biography:
Dobby is a prominent character from the Harry Potter series, first appearing in the movie *Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets* (2002). He is a house-elf bound to serve the Malfoy family.

Initially, Dobby attempts to sabotage Harry Potter's return to Hogwarts, believing it to be for Harry's own safety, as he knew of Lucius Malfoy's plot to open the Chamber of Secrets.

Eventually, Harry tricks Lucius Malfoy into freeing Dobby. Dobby then becomes a free elf, seeking payment for his work, a rather unconventional choice for house-elves. Dobby later works at Hogwarts, paid a galleon a week and with one day off a month. He develops a strong loyalty and affection for Harry Potter and becomes a close friend, often assisting Harry and his friends in their struggles against Voldemort. Dobby ultimately sacrifices himself to save Harry and his companions, dying a hero.
