Biography:
Bardock is a Saiyan warrior from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. He first appeared in the 1990 TV special, "Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku."
Bardock was a low-class Saiyan soldier who led a squad in conquering planets for Frieza's empire. Initially loyal, he later develops a strong sense of rebellion after gaining the ability to see the future. This power allows him to foresee Frieza's betrayal and the destruction of Planet Vegeta.
Driven by these visions, Bardock attempts to warn his fellow Saiyans and confront Frieza. However, his efforts are ultimately unsuccessful, and he is killed by Frieza's Supernova attack along with Planet Vegeta and most of the Saiyan race. He is also Goku's father, this being one of the reasons he is one of the more popular characters.
