Biography:
Bardock is a Saiyan warrior and the father of Goku (Kakarot) in the Dragon Ball Z anime series. He is primarily known from the 1990 TV special, Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku.
Initially a low-class Saiyan soldier, Bardock leads a team in conquering planets for Frieza's Planet Trade Organization. Through a Kanassan warrior's dying attack, he gains the ability to see glimpses of the future, plagued by visions of Frieza's betrayal and the destruction of Planet Vegeta.
Attempting to warn the Saiyans and confront Frieza, Bardock is ultimately killed alongside his comrades and the entire Saiyan race by Frieza's Supernova attack. Despite his demise, Bardock's final act of defiance against Frieza sets the stage for his son, Goku, to eventually challenge and defeat the tyrant.
