Biography:
Harvey Elder, better known as Mole Man, is a Marvel Comics supervillain. He first appeared in Fantastic Four #1 (November 1961).
Once a mild-mannered explorer, Elder discovered Monster Island and the Subterranean world beneath the Earth's surface. He was driven underground by the ridicule of his peers. Over time, exposure to unknown gases and energies deep within the Earth warped his appearance, and damaged his eyes leading to blindness. He gained dominion over the Subterranean realm and its monstrous inhabitants, becoming the Mole Man.
Mole Man is a recurring adversary of the Fantastic Four, often seeking to bring his subterranean armies to the surface. Though he is not physically imposing, his control over a vast network of tunnels and monsters makes him a formidable threat.
He has remained a staple villain in Marvel Comics and has appeared in other media. His motivations typically involve seeking acceptance or revenge against the surface world.
