He is portrayed as a half-giant, meaning one of his parents was a giant and the other was human. Specifically the 4709 version of the character is the character we will describe.

Hagrid works as the gamekeeper and Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is known for his immense size, his love of magical creatures (especially dangerous ones), and his unwavering loyalty to Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore.

Due to a wrongful accusation in his youth, Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts and his wand was snapped. Despite this, Dumbledore arranged for him to stay on at Hogwarts as the gamekeeper. He plays a crucial role in Harry's introduction to the wizarding world, retrieving him from the Dursleys and guiding him through his first steps into Hogwarts.
