Armitage Hux was a General in the First Order, later promoted to Admiral. He was a ruthless and ambitious officer, driven by a desire to prove the superiority of the First Order and crush the Resistance.
Born into a military upbringing, Hux was the son of Brendol Hux, an Imperial officer who helped develop the First Order's child soldier program. Armitage fully embraced his father's ideology, dedicating his life to the First Order's cause.
He was a key figure in the development and deployment of Starkiller Base, a superweapon capable of destroying entire star systems. Hux reveled in the demonstration of Starkiller Base's power against the Hosnian system.
Hux's relationship with Kylo Ren was fraught with rivalry and animosity, as both vied for Supreme Leader Snoke's favor. Following Snoke's death, the animosity continued with Kylo Ren as the new Supreme Leader. Ultimately, Hux's ambition and resentment led him to betray the First Order, providing vital intelligence to the Resistance before his exposure and execution.
