Beric Dondarrion, portrayed by Richard Dormer, is a recurring character in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, first appearing in Season 1, Episode 6, "A Golden Crown."
Lord Beric Dondarrion is a skilled knight sworn to House Baratheon. He is initially sent by Eddard Stark to bring Gregor Clegane to justice for his crimes against the Riverlands.
Beric is killed multiple times throughout the series but is repeatedly resurrected by Thoros of Myr, a Red Priest, through the power of the Lord of Light. Each resurrection takes a toll, eroding his memories and sense of self.
After Thoros's death, Beric inherits the ability to resurrect others, demonstrating the immense power he now wields. His purpose becomes increasingly focused on serving the Lord of Light's will, culminating in a final sacrifice during the Battle of Winterfell.
