Biography:
Mon-El, portrayed by Chris Wood, is a character in the CW's Supergirl television series, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. He is a prince from the planet Daxam, a sister planet to Krypton, with similar powers under a yellow sun.
He arrives on Earth in a Kryptonian pod, initially lacking knowledge of Earth's customs. Mon-El possesses super strength, speed, and invulnerability similar to Supergirl. He begins as somewhat reckless and self-centered, but develops into a more responsible hero through his relationships with Kara Danvers (Supergirl) and other members of the DEO.
His relationship with Kara is a central plot point, evolving into a romantic bond that faces numerous challenges due to their conflicting values and the history between Krypton and Daxam. Mon-El eventually leaves Earth to save it from a lead plague fatal to Daxamites but harmless to Kryptonians and Humans.
He later returns, revealing he travelled to the future and formed the Legion of Super-Heroes. He aids Supergirl in various battles before departing once again, often appearing in later seasons for short story arcs.
