Biography:
Cloud Strife is the protagonist of the influential video game Final Fantasy VII. He presents himself as a stoic and aloof mercenary formerly employed by the elite SOLDIER unit of the Shinra Electric Power Company.
He initially joins the anti-Shinra group AVALANCHE, led by Barret Wallace, to fight against the corporation's exploitation of the planet's life force, Mako. He wields the iconic Buster Sword, inherited from his deceased friend Zack Fair.
As the story unfolds, Cloud's past and identity become increasingly complex. It is revealed that his memories are fragmented and partially fabricated, influenced by trauma and the experiences of Zack. He grapples with identity issues while confronting the primary antagonist, Sephiroth, a former SOLDIER hero driven to madness and intent on destroying the planet.
Cloud's journey is one of self-discovery and acceptance, learning to overcome his fabricated persona and embrace his true self, ultimately leading him to fight for the future of the planet and its inhabitants alongside his companions.
