Hawkgirl is a superheroine from DC Comics, often associated with Hawkman. Several characters have held the Hawkgirl mantle, with Kendra Saunders being a prominent version.

This Hawkgirl, a second generation hero, first appeared in JSA: Secret Files and Origins #1 (August 1999). Kendra is the granddaughter of the Golden Age Hawkgirl, Shiera Sanders Hall. After Shiera's death, Kendra was resurrected with Shiera's soul inside her.

Kendra possesses Nth metal wings that grant her flight. She also inherited Shiera's memories and fighting skills, but initially struggled to accept her past life as a winged warrior. She often works alongside Hawkman, with whom she shares a complex and often romantic connection.
