The Elite Praetorian Guard are specialized warriors serving Supreme Leader Snoke and later, Emperor Palpatine, in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Their first appearance was in the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017).
These guards are clad in crimson armor, heavily inspired by the Imperial Royal Guard of the Galactic Empire. They are highly skilled in various forms of combat and wield a diverse array of weapons, including vibro-blades, electro-staffs, and heavy blasters. Their primary function is to protect the Supreme Leader/Emperor from any threats.
Distinct from the Imperial Royal Guard, the Praetorian Guards do not wear helmets that entirely obscure their faces. Instead, they have unique helmet designs that offer limited visibility of the eyes and face. They serve as a silent, deadly presence, ready to defend their leader at any cost.
