Ken Masters, often simply referred to as Ken, is a prominent character in the Street Fighter franchise. He first appeared in the original Street Fighter game in 1987 as the secondary player character.
Ken is the son of a wealthy American businessman and is depicted as Ryu's lifelong friend and rival. Both trained in the same martial art under the tutelage of Gouken.
Known for his flashy and aggressive fighting style, Ken distinguishes himself from Ryu with more flamboyant moves and a confident, even arrogant, personality. His signature moves include the Shoryuken, Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, and Hadoken, albeit with his own variations.
