Green Loontern is a humorous, one-off character appearing in DC Comics and related animated media. He is essentially Daffy Duck dressed as Green Lantern.
His most notable appearance is in the 2003 Duck Dodgers cartoon episode "The Green Loontern." In this episode, Daffy Duck stumbles upon a Green Lantern power ring and uniform, believing them to be a costume. He then accidentally activates the ring and gains access to its immense power.
Due to his ineptitude and comedic nature, Green Loontern causes chaos and confusion. The real Green Lanterns, including Hal Jordan and Kilowog, mistake him for a new, albeit bizarre, member of the Green Lantern Corps. They attempt to train him, much to their frustration.
Green Loontern's powers are identical to any other Green Lantern, including the ability to create energy constructs, fly, and project force fields. However, his lack of understanding and Daffy Duck's inherent personality lead to unpredictable and hilarious applications of these abilities.
Ultimately, Green Loontern is a parody and a fun twist on the Green Lantern mythos, existing primarily for comedic effect and referencing Warner Bros.' animation history.
