Future Trunks is a character in the Dragon Ball franchise, primarily featured in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. He hails from an alternate, dystopian future timeline where Androids 17 and 18 have decimated most of humanity and the Z Fighters.
He is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, though he did not meet his father until arriving in the past. He travels to the past using a time machine created by his mother to seek help from Goku and the Z Fighters in defeating the Androids and preventing the apocalyptic future from occurring in his own timeline.
