Killer Frost (Louise Lincoln) is a DC Comics character reintroduced in the Rebirth era as a reluctant hero. A brilliant but cold-hearted scientist, Louise sought to recreate the experiments of the original Killer Frost, Crystal Frost, in an attempt to cure herself of cancer.
The experiment succeeded in granting her cryokinetic powers, allowing her to manipulate ice and generate intense cold. However, it also left her with a dependence on external heat sources to survive, constantly draining heat from her surroundings or living beings.
Initially a villain, Louise's path shifted when she was recruited by Caitlin Snow (another Killer Frost from a different reality) to join Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad. There, she grappled with her powers and her inherent desire to live, choosing to learn control and help others.
Despite her icy exterior and the constant struggle with her hunger for heat, Louise is portrayed as a complex character trying to use her abilities for good, striving to overcome her villainous past and find redemption.
