Jaime Lannister, often called "The Kingslayer," first appears in the HBO TV Show, Game of Thrones, in the very first episode "Winter Is Coming" (2011). He is a member of House Lannister, one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in Westeros.
He serves as a knight of the Kingsguard, known for his exceptional swordsmanship and golden hair. His reputation, however, is tainted by his act of killing the Mad King Aerys II Targaryen, whom he was sworn to protect, during the Sack of King's Landing. This earned him the dishonorable nickname, "The Kingslayer."
Jaime's story arc involves a complex journey of self-discovery and redemption. He develops a close and controversial relationship with his twin sister, Cersei Lannister.
