Heimdall, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is an Asgardian warrior and the all-seeing, all-hearing gatekeeper of the Bifrost Bridge.
Possessing enhanced senses and the ability to see and hear across the Nine Realms, Heimdall's primary duty is to guard Asgard from any threats, especially those attempting to enter without permission. He is unwavering in his loyalty to Asgard and its royal family.
The MCU's Heimdall is notably portrayed by Idris Elba. His first appearance in the MCU was in the movie Thor (2011). He later features in Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War.
