Bilbo Baggins, appearing in the film adaptations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, is a hobbit of Middle Earth residing in Bag End, in the Shire. He first appears in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
In his younger years, Bilbo is unexpectedly thrust into adventure by Gandalf and a company of dwarves, ultimately finding the One Ring in Gollum's cave.
