Adam Warlock, designated 'PG8108', is a synthetic being created by the Sovereign, a genetically engineered race seeking to improve upon themselves. His initial purpose was to be the perfect being, a weapon for the Sovereign to use to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Warlock first appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) . He emerges from a birthing pod to exact revenge on the Guardians, who wronged the Sovereign. His powers include superhuman strength, speed, and energy manipulation. He is initially immature and lacks understanding of the world, often acting impulsively and with significant destructive force.

After his initial assault on the Guardians, Warlock eventually joins forces with them, realizing the error of his ways and the Sovereign's flawed perspective. He is still learning to control his powers and understand his purpose, but begins to see the value of friendship and protecting others.
