Star Sapphire is a mantle assumed by various characters in DC Comics, most notably Carol Ferris. First appearing in *Showcase* #22 (October 1959), Carol Ferris is introduced as the head of Ferris Aircraft and a love interest of Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern.
