The Temple Guards were an elite security force within the Jedi Order. They were primarily stationed at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
These guards were chosen from among the Jedi Knights and Masters who demonstrated exceptional skill in combat and a deep commitment to impartiality and maintaining order.
Identifiable by their distinctive yellow-and-white armor and dual-bladed lightsabers (light pikes), Temple Guards were tasked with protecting the Jedi Temple from external threats and internal disturbances. Their identities were largely concealed to symbolize their detachment from personal attachments and individual recognition.
They answered directly to the Jedi Council and were often involved in sensitive missions, such as escorting dignitaries, enforcing Jedi law, and subduing rogue Jedi. Bariss Offee famously disguised herself as a Temple Guard to bomb the Jedi Temple hangar.
